So, essentially, I think the Gimme replaced the Mother, and the Custom replaced the Deluxe. That's why I think those two ran concurrently, where as the Gimme was U1985 and U1986 and the Custom was U1885 and U1886. Likewise, the Deluxe was U1882 and U1883. You'll note that the Mother model numbers were U1982 and U1983 (again model numbers, not years). ![]() The Mother/Rhythm & Blues and Deluxe were offered from around '69 to '75, and then the Gimme and Customs replaced those. All in all, Univox had four Les Paul copies, and I believe they offered two versions at a time. I say that because the Custom model seems to be a variant of the Univox Gimme. Judging by the model numbers of the Custom model, I'd guess yours is 1976 - early 80s.
